Description: Oklahoma City, OK - Alma Rodriguez, Mother and Natural Guardian of Y.R., a minor, sued Integris Baptist Medical Center, Inc., Colby Mayo, D.O., Chalres Coyner, M.D. and Robert Letton, M.D. on medical negligence (medical malpractice) theories claiming:

I. Plaintiff is the mother and natural guardian of Y.R., a minor. Plaintiff resides in Oklahoma County. Plaintiff’s cause ofaction arose in Oklahoma County. The individual defendants are physicians licensed to practice medicine in Oklahoma who reside and practice in Oklahoma County. The corporate defendant owns and operates a hospital in Oklahoma County where the care and treatment in question was rendered. Venue is proper pursuant to 120.8. §130.
2. On June 18,2010, Y.R. was admitted to Integris Baptist Medical Center for treatment of a perforated appendix. During this hospitalization defendants Mayo, Coyner and Letton and staff, employees and agents of Integris Baptist Medical Center negligently caused Y.R, to suffer renal failure and permanent neurological and neuropsychological damage by failing to appropriately monitor and manage Y.R,’s clinical condition, the medications administered to her and her sepsis and by failing to adequately prepare her for transfer to another facility.

3 * Dr. Colby Mayo is the servant, employee, agent anclJor ostensible/apparent agent of defendant Integris Baptist Medical Center.
3. Plaintiff requests damages for Y.R.’s physical pain and suffering, past and future, mental pain and suffering, past and future, physical and neurological impairment, impairment of earning capacity, unnecessary medical expenses and all other damages recoverable under the law, all in excess of$100,000.00.

THE ORDER APPROVING SETTLEMENT AND DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS
Pursuant to Local Rule 10.1, the Court finds as follows:
1. The Court has determined that it is necessary in the interests of justice to remove material identified herein from the public record to protect the privacy of the minor who is a party, on relation of his mother, in the above-styled action. More specifically, the Order in question consists of confidential information which should be protected from disclosure. Thus, the material in question should be sealed from the public view.
2, The material to be removed from the public record consists of the Order Approving Settlement and Distribution of Funds filed concurrently herewith.
3. The Court Clerk is directed to seal said Order from the public view. This Order shall be placed on the outside of a sealed manila envelope filed in the court file, to be marked “CONFIDENTIAL”, to contain the material identified herein.
IT IS SO ORDERED.

Settled for an undisclosed sum and dismissed with prejudice.
