Defendant met his victim at the Adam's Mark where she was a pianist. They had dinner on a couple of occassions. On their last date, defendant demanded that the victim have sex with him and when she refused he knocked her down and split her head open. He then held her against her will until, while driving around, she ran her car into a Bixby, Oklahoma police car. Defendant was African-American and the victim was white.
