Kelly Lundrigan, Wood & Lamping, Cincinnati, Ohio Description: Diversity of Citizenship - Breach of Contract and Fraud - Corporex Corporation claimed that RJ Mortgage Acceptance Corporation and/or Raymond James Associates, Inc., breached its contract and/or defrauded Corporex in 1994 when it failed to provide $18 million in interim financing under a conditional letter of intent. Outcome: Jury verdict for plaintiff for $10 million in compensatory damages and $30 million in punitive damages. Judge has not entered judgment as of 4/3/00 and has reversed ruling on a number of significatn issues that may have an effect on the jury verdict.
