Description: Tulsa, OK - The United States of America charged Francis Henry Dishmon, age 52, with attempted bank robbery in violation of 18 U.S.C. 2003 and killing a person while attempting to avoid apprehension in violation of 18 U.S.C. 2113(e) for attempting to rob the I.B.C. in Miami, Oklahoma and then causing the death of James Carl Wivell, age 48, in an accident that occurred with Wivell attempted to avoid hitting Dishmon's wrecked vehicle.
Outcome: The Government dismissed the killing a person while attempting to avoid apprehension. Dishmon was convicted on the attempted bank robbery charge and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. He was also fined $9,076.
