Description: DALLAS, TX — An Dallas, Texas, man was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Sidney A. Fitzwater to 188 months in federal prison and a lifetime of supervised release on a child pornography conviction, announced Acting U.S. Attorney John R. Parker of the Northern District of Texas.

Timothy Bullard, 35, pleaded guilty in August 2014 to one count of transporting and shipping child pornography.

According to documents filed in the case, on November 1, 2013 FBI agents executed a search warrant at Bullard’s home, they seized computers and computer-related items.

Bullard admitted he possessed well over 600 images and possibly 500 videos of child pornography all of which were available for trading. Bullard admits to using the internet and other computer software to share and make files containing child pornography available to other users. He indicated that he had been downloading child pornography since he was sixteen years old.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative, which was launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice, to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by U.S. Attorney’s Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals, who sexually exploit children, and identify and rescue victims.
