Description: Richmond, VA - The Commonwealth of Virginia charged Bruce Duane Walton, age 48, with first-degree in the death of 67-year-old Roy Fuller who was stabbed 120 times sometime around April 1, 2014.

Richmond detectives were able to identify Walton based on his use of Fuller's credit to by cigarettes, alcohol and other items in the days following Fuller's apparent date of death.

The Commonwealth was unable to produce any direct evidence of who Fuller's killer was. There was no DNA evidence and no murder weapon. Cell phone tower records indicated that Walton was near Fuller's home near the time of his apparent death.

A jail informant testified that Walton told him that he was at Fuller's home but had not memory of killing him but woke to find Fuller dead.

Fuller operated a marijuana growing operation in his home and kept sizable amounts of cash.

Outcome: Defendant was found guilty with a recommendation that he be sentenced to 125 years in prison.
