Description: West Jordan, UT - Sandy Utah Man Convicted of Manslaughter

The States of Utah charged Larry Kent Graff, age 54, with first-degree murder for shooting Candace Melo in the back of the head as she fled from his home. He was also charged with attempted murder for shooting at Michael Grimsley.

Melo had been staying with the Defendant in his Sandy, Utah home and was running out of the house with Graff's laptop computer she he shot her.

Defendant acknowledged that he shot Melo but claimed that she died because she did not get prompt appropriate care.

Outcome: Defendant was found guilty of the lesser included crime of manslaughter.
