Description: Park City, UT - Jury Convicts Man of First-Degree Murder

The State of Utah charged James Enoch Henfling, age 29, with first-degree murder for killing Jose Fernandez, age 37, in February 22, 2016 inside the victim's home in Park City. He was also charged with second-degree felony discharge of a firearm.

Henfling was invited to Fernandez' apartment by Elise Henfling, a friend and co-worker of the victim. Henfling took a gun and a Taser with him because he believed that his sister was in danger. Henfling was invited to stay the night but the two men began to argue and Henfling was hit in the face and choked by Fernandez. The sister became involved in the dispute and Henfling shot Fernandez in the forehead. The died several days later.

Henfling claimed self-defense.

Outcome: Guilty
