The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania charged Gregory Graf, age 54, with first-degree murder for killing his daughter and then video recording himself sexually abusing her corpse. Jessica Padgett was shot in the back of the head in November of 2014.
The defense conceded that Graf killed Padgett and desecrating her corpse but denied that the killing was premeditated.
The video that Graf made showed him engaging in various sex acts with woman's corpse hours after her death.
The playing of the video, which was made using two cameras, drew a very emotional response from the jury according to news reports.
The defense called no witnesses.
Outcome: Defendant was found guilty as charged and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
