Description: Tulsa, OK - Man Gets Life Without Parole for 1994 Murder

The State of Oklahoma charged Leroy Edward Gilbert, age 54, with first-degree murder for killing Erma Jean Goodou, age 32, whose body was found by her 13-year-old daughter in the kitchen of her home in North Tulsa.

The State claimed that it had DNA evidence that tied Gilbert to the murder.

Outcome: Defendant was found guilty by a jury, which recommended that he be sentenced to life in prison without parole, and that is what Judge Greenough sentenced him to. LWOP.
