Description: Zyber Selimaj sued the City of Henderson, Nevada on a civil rights violation theory under 42 U.S.C. 1983 for the wrongful death of Deshira Selimaj, who was shot as she was attempting to help her Armenian-born husband communicate with police after he was pulled over for a minor traffic violation.
The defenses asserted by the defendants are not available other than they claimed that Mrs. Selimaj threatened them with a knife.
Outcome: Settled for $750,000.00.
