Description: Ava, MO - Jury Acquits Accused in Love Triangle Murder Case
The State of Missouri charged Cory Walker, age 29, with first-degree murder and armed criminal action for the stabbing death of Robert Koch, age 37, who was stabbed to death at Walker's home on August 28, 2015. Koch was stabbed 11 times, including 6 times in the back.
Jamine White, age 36, who was the "girlfriend" of both men as also charged with first-degree muder, armed criminal action, and two counts of child endangerment. White hid in the bathroom of Walker's house during the altercation between the two men but let her children watch what was happening.
Koch was unarmed and died on the front lawn of Walker's home.
Walker claimed self-defense under Missouri's Castle Doctrine that allows someone to defend himself when he's on his own property.
Outcome: Not guilty after 13 hours of jury deliberation.
