Description: Frankfort, KY - Jury Finds Young Man Guilty of Manslaughter

The State of Kentucky charged Austin Moore, age 20, with second-degree murder, first-degree wanton endangerment and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs resulting in an accident that caused the death of Alyssa Hutcherson, 18, and injuring another teen.

The State claimed that he drank alcohol, smoked marijuana and crushed and snorted Aderall before driving the car.

The car he was driving ran off the road and hit a tree.

Outcome: Defendant was found guilty of second-degree manslaughter and faces a five- to 10-year sentence on the manslaughter charge and a one- to five-year sentence on the wanton endangerment charge.
