The People of the State of California charged Jessy Zetino with first-degree murder for killing Michaela Woodridge, age 24, who was killed on Halloween in 2012.
Defendant claimed that he thought that Woodridge was a demon as a result of the ingestion of LSD and stabbed her to death and did not have the cognitive ability to commit pre-meditated murder.
Zetino confessed to murder and physical evidence, including wounds to his hands and possession of the knife used to kill Woodrige substantiated the confession.
