Description: Eleven women sued former Anchorage police officer Anthony Rollins and the Municipality of Anchorage on sexual assault, negligence and respondeat superior theories claiming to have been raped by Rollins. Some of the women were raped, including one who was raped while handcuffed in 2009.

Rollins was charged and convicted of sexually assaulting five women and sentenced to 87 years in prison. Complaints about his use of his power to coerce women into engaging into sexual activity starting in 2001. He was suspended in 2009 when a woman reported that she was forced to perform oral sex during a drunken driving arrest.

Outcome: Settled with Anchorage for $5.5 million ranging from $1.7 million down to $75,000.
