Additional Information: Susan Donahue was born in Seatlle, Washington on April 17, 1945. She earned a Ph.D. in English from the University of Washington in 1988. During her academic career, her publications, research and teaching emphasized social justice by addressing issues of race, gender and class in the study of literature. She moved to Birmingham in 1999, earned a J.D. degree from The University of Alabama in 2003, and began practicing law. Susan is a dedicated worker with exceptional reserach, analytical and writing skills. As a teacher and mentor, Susan developed excellent communication skills which serve her well in her law practice. She has worked on large, complex cases involving race discrimination and FLSA violations as well as cases involving sexual harassment, First Amendment vilations and professional ethics.
