Additional Information: John is a trial attorney whose practice is concentrated in the areas of civil litigation, including personal injury, medical malpractice and employment law claims, and he has extensive experience with workers' compensation claims for both employers and employees. He is a member of the Maine and Cumberland County Bar Associations, the Maine Trial Lawyers’ Association (MTLA), and the American Association of Justice (AAJ). John is admitted to practice in both State and Federal courts, and has tried many cases in the courts of Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
John is the 14th attorney from Maine to gain acceptance into the prestigious Million Dollar Advocate’s Forum, which recognizes trial attorneys who have successfully earned judgments in excess of one million dollars ($1.MM) for their clients. He has been recognized as one of the top 100 trial attorneys in Maine by the American Association of Justice (AAJ).
John has argued several successful appeals to the Supreme Courts of Maine and New Hampshire.
John was born and raised in South Portland, Maine. Prior to entering the legal profession, John was employed by a Fortune 500 high-tech corporation as a sales and marketing executive, including a two-year residency in Europe.
John actively participates in a variety of outdoor and recreational activities, as well as charitable organizations within the community. John has sat on the Board of Directors for the Maine Parkinson's Society, and enjoyed coaching numerous youth and high school sports for many years.
Successfully represented the Plaintiff in Braley v. EMMC in a medical malpractice theory that resulted in a $6.7 million plaintiff's verdict.
