Additional Information: From a small west Texas town, Jeff Mayes brings a diligent, no-nonsense attitude and approach to interactions with clients as well as opposing parties. Jeff has extensive experience assisting and defending management before federal agencies and courts in all aspects of labor and employment law. He has also been involved in union elections and collective bargaining negotiations and has aggressively defended management against the NLRB. Jeff regularly assists clients with sexual harassment and discrimination investigations, wage and hour issues, and the drafting and revision of employment contracts and policies.
Jeff has a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a law degree from South Texas College of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1996 and to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas in 1997, and is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar, the Houston Management Lawyers’ Forum, and the Houston Young Lawyers’ Association.
