Mr. Carroll practices in the firm’s trial and appellate groups and has represented individuals and corporations in a variety of legal disputes ranging from catastrophic injury to complex commercial litigation. After completing his undergraduate studies at The University of California at San Diego, Mr. Carroll attended the University of Houston Law Center where he received his Juris Doctor. During his tenure at UHLC, Mr. Carroll worked for the Honorable Jennifer Walker Elrod at the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Honorable Gray Miller at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Mr. Carroll also served as a Notes & Comments Editor for the Houston Law Review, was an Executive on the Board of Advocates and the Moot Court Board, a pupil in the Garland R. Walker American Inn of Court, and served as a teaching assistant tutoring first year Torts and Constitutional Law. Mr. Carroll has the distinction of being one of the winningest advocates in University of Houston Law Center history. Mr. Carroll was the U.S. National Champion and International Finalist, placing 2nd in the world, at the Willem C. Vis (Hong Kong) International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition, and received many more awards throughout his time at law school. Mr. Carroll is the Editor-In-Chief of TexAppBlog.com, an appellate law blog for non-appellate lawyers, and coaches moot court and mock trial at the University of Houston Law Center. He frequently writes papers and gives presentations on updates to the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
