Additional Information: Recognized in 2008 and 2009 as a "Rising Star" by Law & Politics magazine (as seen in Texas Monthly), Jason Dennis solves problems for clients. He combines creative legal strategies with courtroom talent to resolve complex litigation. He also applies his business background not just to better understand the case, but to produce more efficient business solutions for his clients. Whether representing plaintiffs or defendants, Jason aggressively pursues the case to resolution. Often that resolution comes at trial where Jason has successfully tried cases to juries, judges and arbitrators in state and federal courts. When faced with an adverse trial court result, clients have hired Jason to successfully argue and brief their appeals in state and federal courts throughout the country.

Although some surveys estimate that 96 percent of cases settle or are disposed of prior to trial, Jason regularly takes cases to trial. Having a trial lawyer in your corner not only serves the client in the courtroom but having a lawyer and firm known to take a case to trial leads to more favorable settlements.

· Jason prosecuted to verdict a case involving an oral partnership agreement. The jury awarded his client more that $7 milllion. When the defendants tried to hide their assets, Jason pursued them with a separate fraudulent transfer action and obtained an injunction against the transfer of any assets. · Jason recently defended a complex breach of contract and tortious interference jury trial for a national franchisor. After cross-examination of the plaintiffs, their counsel immediately offered to settle the case for less than 10 percent of their pre-trial demand.

· Jason handled a bench trial involving a securities fraud claim against several individuals and their bank resulting in a substantial judgment.

· Jason obtained a favorable settlement in a securities fraud action against a financial institution.

· Jason obtained another favorable settlement in a case alleging deceptive insurance practices.

Jason was born and raised in South Carolina. He is married to Sarah, an attorney with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP.
