Christa Kirk began her career as a lawyer in the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant District Attorney, she prosecuted cases at all court levels, including Magistrate Court, Juvenile Court, and Superior Court. Additionally, she represented the State of Georgia at the appellate level at both the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia. She has handled every kind of criminal case from simple misdemeanor thefts to felony aggravated assault, drug possession, and murder. During her tenure at the DA’s Office, Christa served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney. As part of her job responsibilities, Christa supervised other ADA’s and trained prosecutors and police officers on all aspects of criminal law and trial techniques. Having prosecuted and reviewed thousands of cases, she has a keen sense of how jurors, prosecutors, and judges will respond to legal and factual arguments. Christa successfully tried cases before juries and has been featured on nationally televised programs. Since leaving the DA’s Office, she has handled numerous criminal cases as a defense attorney with successful results. She proved a client was wrongfully convicted and had him released from prison, she has had multiple cases dismissed by proving lack of sufficient evidence, obtained numerous reductions, and has had successful trial results. She has the unique perspective of knowing what prosecutors are looking for and what evidence they will use at trial.

Christa also practices in the area Family Law. She has represented clients in Divorce, Legitimation, Paternity, and Custody cases. She has successfully obtained custody for both deserving mothers and fathers. Christa has handled child support reductions and increases, where warranted.
