Mr. Woods practices complex business litigation throughout the United States and currently heads the litigation practice in the Los Angeles office. His national litigation practice has particular emphasis on banking, real estate, energy and employment cases. For bank clients, he has litigated a variety of cases, including lender liability claims, consumer class actions, UCC matters, large collection actions, and foreclosure proceedings. In the real estate arena, he has litigated cases involving purchase and sale transactions, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, land use, condemnation, title insurance, and property management. Within the energy sphere, Mr. Woods has litigated complex cases in state and federal courts for individual companies and a trade association concerning electricity pricing in California.
